Expanded Definition

The seed to a pretty perfect society. A designated space of land where a community lives — self-sufficient, customisable, uninterrupted by overseers.

The seed to a pretty perfect society. The Grid is a designated space of land that a community of people live within, upheld by advanced sustainable technologies to provide humans with a high standard of self-sufficient living.

While Grids are designed with specific standards in mind — to boost the quality of the earth and of the human life lived on it — they are entirely customisable in reflection of their communities. People sign up to communities they want to live with, follow their shared ways of life, and are uninterrupted by overseers: no governments, no businesses, no gangsters, no Karen down the road.

There must, of course, be a few overarching, common-sense rules that all Grids follow and that everyone polices, or no society can exist in peace. Those rules form the Basic Law — the thin non-negotiable floor beneath every cell of the network.

Above that floor, the Grid is yours.
